I know a lot of people are worried about what they put on their bodies and hair, so I thought I would post what the ingredients are in Coppola Keratin Express Complex. By law the ingredients are always listed by the ingredient that is the most by weight to the least, so as you look at the list of ingredients below you can see that water is the largest ingredient. You can also see there is no formaldehyde in Coppola Keratin products which is always a big question and one I’ve covered in more depth in the article linked above.

INGREDIENTS

Water – I think this is pretty self explanatory! It’s water!

Trionic Keratin Protein – The trionic keratin protein is the keratin that will be bonded to your hair in order to eliminate the frizz. This is the magic ingredient!

Phenyl Silsesquixanes – These are hybrid organic-inorganic compounds that can thermally soften hair and promote water resistance.

Cyclomethicone – This is a clear, odorless silicone used as a base solvent to blend with fragrance oils and perfume oils. It leaves a silky-smooth feel when sprayed on the skin or hair.

Dimethicone – Dimethicone is an anti-foaming agent, skin protectant, and hair conditioner.

Guar Gum – Primarily the ground endosperm of guar beans, it’s used as a thickening agent in cosmetic products like the keratin treatment.

Alkyl Caprylyl Methicone – A silicone-based moisturizer that coats the hair shaft to keep moisture in and protect the hair.

Xanthum Gum, Glyceryl monococoate and Glycol Disterate – These ingredients simply help the other ingredients stay together since some are oil based and others are water based.

p-benzoquinone – This helps keep everything stable and is also an antimicrobial agent, that helps keep harmful microorganisms from growing in the keratin

Hydroxyethylcellulose – Another thickener!

Thiazolidine Carboxylic Acid – The Thiazolidine helps reduce hair loss.

Ferrous Oxides – Ferris Oxides help protect the hair from heat damage.

Scent – I’m sure you can figure this one out. Luckily they didn’t overdo the scent, it’s nice, pleasant, and not overly strong at all.
